After many months of discussion, meetings and mayhem - On The Verge have successfully sown it's first batch of wild flower seeds, on 13th October.
The site is located opposite Talgarth new school.
The mix is a perennial flower mix, which will take 12 months to establish. It is not a "flowery pretty, pretty" mix, but is intended to replicate what is already on the site, but will, when mature, sustain up 140 species of invertebrates, helping to attract our native pollinators.
For those who are interested you can see the seed mix at: https://wildseed.co.uk/ Mix is EM4F on Mixture tab

We have added a small amount of "Yellow Rattle", which will discourage the invasive grasses.....growing wild flowers is more than chucking a packet of wild flower seeds on to soil!!!
