GP Biotec is looking for an Environmental Manager to join our team at an exciting time when the Site is in the final phase of completion. GP Biotec is a renewable energy company based in Talgarth, Mid Wales. The company runs an on-farm anaerobic digester plant, using a mixture of waste and farm-derived feedstocks.
Job Description
• To implement our environmental and quality management plans
• Experience of implementing Environmental and Quality Management Systems — specific knowledge of those related to a bespoke environmental permit and the Biofertiliser Certification Scheme would be of great benefit
• Implement the Environmental Management System ISO14001 2015
• A background in anaerobic digestion and/or agriculture
• Biofertiliser Certification Scheme
• Manage own time
• Health and Safety
• Excel/ Word essential
• Data Analysis
• Report writing
• Updating and implementing management plan — odour, accident
• Record keeping
• Key point of contact for NRW, APHA
• Useful if experience with audit process
• IEMA or equivalent qualification
• Complaints handling
• Community liaison — experience dealing with Community relations
Essential:
• Good oral and written communicator at all levels
• Experience of being the key point of contact with regulatory bodies
• Excellent IT skills
• Prepare for and lead audits to satisfactory results, for the Biofertiliser Certification Scheme
• Experience of attaining ISO14001 certification and subsequent ownership of management system
• Familiarity with running a community liaison group and/or handling community relations
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £28,000.00 to £38,000.00 /year
