Talgarth Town Council has asked us to let you know there have been sighting and first-hand reports of a Wild Boar on the common near Talgarth. The boar has been spotted by a local farmer in the area as well as walkers. Wild Boars are known as "wild swine", "common wild pig", or simply "wild pig". Please be advised if you are walking your dog on the common that they can be dangerous and you should pay particular attention not to go near it if seen. The Boars roam freely in the Forest of Dean and many think that this animal could have come across from the area or have been dumped.
Please use EXTREME CAUTION if you see the animal and avoid contact with it.
