Yoga in Bwlch - October Half Term Holiday 2019
The YIN & YANG YOGA workshop series returns on Wednesday 30th October. With a YIN programme to support and stimulate the spine and hips, followed by a dynamic YANG sequence stoking the internal fire (Agni) of our core, it's a practice to strengthen our bodies, while bringing rest and release to mind and spirit.
We observe, with care and compassion.
The first part of the workshop is an introduction to Yin yoga. We follow 3 principles: coming into the pose to a depth that is appropriate for you; resolving to remain still; holding the pose for time. The pace is slow.
The second part of the workshop is a Yang practice. This is more active and energising with a sequence to take home. We'll end with pranayama (the formal practice of controlling the breath, which is the source of our prana, or vital life force) and relaxation; leaving mind, spirit and body refreshed and replenished.
Everyone is welcome. I teach in a progressive way with plenty of options for people taking part. I'm a British Wheel of Yoga teacher and Mindfulness teacher with the UK Mindfulness Network. More information at our website www.musicandthemuse.com/yoga
