Yoga in Bwlch Springtime Special
The popular YIN & YANG YOGA workshop series continues this Wed. 4th April. Themed around Vrksasana – the beautiful ‘tree’ pose, the focus is on strengthening legs and gently opening hips. It's a practice to develop awareness, contentment and steadiness.
The first part of the workshop is an introduction to Yin yoga. We follow 3 principles: coming into the pose to a depth that is appropriate for you; resolving to remain still; holding the pose for time. The pace is slow.
The second part of the workshop is a Yang practice. This is more active, fiery and energising with a sequence to take home. We'll end with pranayama (the formal practice of controlling the breath, which is the source of our prana, or vital life force) and relaxation; leaving mind, body and spirit refreshed and replenished.
Everyone is welcome. I teach in a compassionate and progressive way with plenty of options for people taking part. I'm a British Wheel of Yoga teacher and there's more information at our website www.musicandthemuse.com/yoga and Facebook 'Yoga with Heather Murray'.
