We popped along to Glasbury Village Hall to see the annual Glasbury Art Show, what a treat! A fantastic array of artwork on exhibition, from woodturning to painting, drawing, ceramics and photography. Featuring artists from last year's 'Celebration of Welsh Contemporary Painting', along with guest artists, there were some fantastic established and emerging art on show.
The annual show is professionally hosted by Glasbury Arts, which is a highlight of the local art calendar. As well as the established artists participating, it was also wonderful to see the GCSE and A-level students work on display from Gwernyfed High School. A super impressive show with a fantastic range of 2D and 3D work on display. The student's sketch books were really interesting and dynamic, it shows Gwernyfed as being an excellent school for developing young artists, sculptors and photographers the staff and pupils should all be exceptionally proud of the work on display. We hoped you managed to attend the show, it is the last day today. Here are a few images from the show! The River Cafe in Glasbury has also been participated offering 2-Course Arts Lunch each day, to enhance the whole art event.
